Find and Click “Run”

Type regedit

Click the plus next to “HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE”

On the right panel, find “OOBETimer” then double click it.

Now, Delete all the Values by highlighting it, then delete it

Then after that click OK,

Then on the left panel right click WPAEvents, then click on permissions

Then click System or SYSTEM, then Deny Full Control, then Click OK.

Then Exit Registry Editor by Click the X or the red X on the Upper Right of the Title Bar or press ALT and F4 at the same time.

To Very that it works, go to start, then “activate windows”, or go to start, then all programs, then “activate windows”

How To Reinstall Windows Without Losing Anything

You can use this method as often as you like when you need to repair something that had gotten corrupted and you don't want to do a clean install.

This is better than doing a windows repair install from the cd because doing that can cause changes to settings and even make it so you can't get updates anymore from microsoft update site because of the 'silent install' they did a year or so ago (unless you rereg some dll files).

1- Start WindowsXP
2- Go to the location of your source files
3- Run WINNT32 /unattend
For example, D:\I386\winnt32 /unattend ( copy & paste this command into the RUN box, then press ENTER ) Your computer will do the rest.

OR

Start > All Programs > Accessories > Command Prompt.
Copy & paste > D:\I386\winnt32 /unattend (notice the space between 32 and / )
Press Enter.
If you have i386 on your drive, you can replace D: ( if D: is your cd drive ) with the location of it. (be sure it's the full i386 though)

D: is the driver letter where your windows XP Cd is
if D:\I386\winnt32 /unattend doesn't work then try : d:\winnt32 /unattend.

The year 2023 is by many separate accounts seen as being a portal into what some people call the Golden Age. 2012 marks according to the The Mayan Calendar, the ending of time as we know it. When you're outside of a domain environment, XP has some features missing. XP Home leaves you completely without the Group Policy Editor, while XP Pro lacks the ability to use the Group Policy Editor to selectively apply policies to specific users.

Well, that's about to change.

Doug's Windows XP Security Console allows you to assign various restrictions to specific users, whether you're running XP Pro or XP Home.

The unlicensed version will allow you to apply a number of user specific settings, while logged on to that user's Desktop. Licensing entitles you to preferred support.

With the licensed version, you can load another user's profile, make the desired changes, and save them. WITHOUT HAVING TO LOG ON to their Desktop. You can also create a set of "Default" settings and save them for future use.

Only one user profile, either the currently logged on user, or a "loaded" user profile, can be loaded at one time. However, with the licensed version, you can create a "default" set of settings and quickly apply them to other user profiles.

All but one of the settings that can be changed are "per-user" settings. The setting to disallow Shutdown without Logon is machine wide.

More settings and features will be added in future releases, if there is enough support for this utility.

Usage: Download Windows XP Security Console. Double click the ZIP file you downloaded and extract the contents to your hard disk. The EXE and CHM (Help) file need to be in the same folder. There is no uninstaller, but be advised, any restrictions that have been put in place will remain in place, even if you delete the application. So, if you're going to remove the application, make sure that you change any settings that you want to, before you remove it. For additional security, this utility and its help file are small enough to fit on a floppy disk. Extract the files to a floppy, run the utility from there, change the settings you wish, then put the floppy away somewhere safe.

This small VB 6 utility will create a usable backup copy of Taskmgr.exe, MSConfig.exe and Regedit.EXE in a new folder, called C:\EmergencyUtils. The new copies will be named Copy_of_Taskmgr.exe, Copy_of_MSConfig.exe and Copy_of_Regedit.com.

These programs are extremely helpful, and usually necessary in helping to rid your computer of a viral infection. Many virus programs will intercept these programs, based on their original file name, and prevent them from running. The alternate copies will not encounter this problem. Simply navigate to the C:\EmergencyUtils folder and double click the file you need to run.

To use: Download the xp_emergencyutil.zip file and save it to your hard drive. Double-click the xp_emergencyutil.zip file and extract xp_emergencyutil.exe to your hard disk. To run the EXE just double click it, there is no installer. You will have the option of running the programs automatically, after the copies are created.

NOTE:Your antivirus software may warn of a potentially malicious script. This is normal, as the Windows Scripting Host is used to create the "copies" of these 3 utilities.

Aero Fox – This themes has been redesigned to have a much sleeker look and feel. I have reduced the icons so they do not take up as much space. I also redesigned the toolbar so it now adjusts when you switch between large and small icons in order to maximize the space dedicated for the browser window.

Voter registration procedure, how to register as a voter

Deadline for voter registration is on October 31, 2009!

Are you Filipino? (It doesn’t matter whether you’re Mindanaoan – taga Mindanao – or from Luzon or Visayas)

Are you at least eighteen (18) years of age and a resident of the Philippines for at least one (1) year?

Then you might just be qualified to vote in the upcoming May 2010 elections!

Also, if you have lived in a certain place in the Philippines for at least 6 months prior to the elections, then you are qualified to vote.

PLEASE, PLEASE EXERCISE YOUR RIGHT TO SUFFRAGE!

If you haven’t registered with the Commission on Elections (COMELEC) yet, then please visit the nearest election office in your area.

You can obtain a registration form from your local COMELEC office. If you’re a first time voter, you are required to PERSONALLY APPEAR before the election officer in your area. You will be required to state your full name and exact address. You must specify the house number, name of street, area, district, purok or sitio, and barangay where you currently reside in as well as a brief description of your residence.

The following are the currently acceptable identification documents that you may bring during your voter registration: (the documents must bear the voter-applicant’s photograph and signature)

1. Employee’s identification card (ID) with the signature of the employer or authorized representative;
2. Postal ID;
3. Student’s ID or library card, signed by the school authority;
4. Senior Citizen's ID;
5. Driver’s license;
6. NBI/PNP clearance;
7. Passport;
8. SSS/GSIS ID;
9. Integrated Bar of the Philippine (IBP) ID;
10. License issued by the Professional Regulatory Commission (PRC); and
11. Any other valid ID.

In the absence of any of the aforementioned identification documents, the applicant may be identified under oath by any registered voter of the precinct in your area, or by any of his relatives within the fourth civil degree of consanguinity or affinity who are registered voters of the same city/municipality.

IMPORTANT: Community Tax Certificates or cedula or certifications/identification cards issued by barangay officials WILL NOT BE HONORED as valid identification documents.

Continuing voter registrations are being held at COMELEC offices nationwide from MONDAY TO SATURDAY (and even on HOLIDAYS).

Black Google Would Save 750 Megawatt-hours a Year

Terrific article from Rising Phoenix Design that points out a rather obvious-when-you-think-about-it fact; black pixels take less energy than white pixels. Background to background, black comes in at about 59 watts, white is at 74, a full 15 watts higher. I'm convinced; the look you see at ecoIron is now permanent. More colors here, and here's a link to Varlath's blog that explains why we changed from black to white in the first place.

As noted, an all white web page uses about 74 watts to display, while an all black page uses only 59 watts. I thought I would do a little math and see what could be saved by moving a high volume site to the black format.

Take at look at Google, who gets about 200 million queries a day. Let's assume each query is displayed for about 10 seconds; that means Google is running for about 550,000 hours every day on some desktop. Assuming that users run Google in full screen mode, the shift to a black background [on a CRT monitor! mjo] will save a total of 15 (74-59) watts. That turns into a global savings of 8.3 Megawatt-hours per day, or about 3000 Megawatt-hours a year. Now take into account that about 25 percent of the monitors in the world are CRTs, and at 10 cents a kilowatt-hour, that's $75,000, a goodly amount of energy and dollars for changing a few color
codes.

How do I set or unset Blackle as my home page?

What is the aim of Blackle?

The aim of Blackle is to remind people of the need to take small steps every day to save energy. We do not expect the energy savings from Blackle to change the world on their own, but the point of Blackle is that every little bit counts. We hope that the flow on effect from people using Blackle and thinking more about other things they can do to save energy will make a significant difference. To further this flow on effect we have added a section to Blackle packed with energy saving tips.

Does Blackle save energy on LCD and CRT monitors?

There is a significant difference in energy consumption between black and white screens for CRT monitors. CCFL backlit LCD screens are less affected by color because of their constant backlight. However, new monitor technologies such as LED backlit LCDs screens, Plasma screens and OLED screens do not have a constant backlight so we will see larger energy savings with Blackle as these new monitors replace the old CCFL LCDs. While technology is constantly changing the need to take steps to save energy (even small amounts of energy) is constant.

Will Blackle be adding other features such as image search or a search toolbar?

We are investigating the best ways to improve Blackle. We will continue to focus on providing the best and most environmentally aware search that we can with Blackle.

Windows XP Pro Performance Edition - September 2009 | 156 Mb

Supports ONLY English Language and English Keyboard Layouts. This is a FULL Install. You CANNOT Upgrade from previous versions of Windows.
There is no validation required. This PASSES WGA. This works 100% with Windows Update.
I have included the CD-Key already in the install process. This means at no point will you have to enter it. Some people using Macs or Virtual Machines might need the serial. See Serial.txt if you do need it. Serial.txt is located in the download folder and in a folder on the disc/iso.

This has all windows updates through September 2009. This is has been tested numerous times with no errors.
This has minimalist Internet Explorer 6. (Use It To Download Firefox, Opera, Safari, Chrome, Etc)
This is the x86 version (32Bit).
Updates currently work fine and this also currently passes WGA. As a preventative measure, I've also included Office and Windows WGA Cracks which are in a folder called "TJ" on the disc in case they start blocking the serial number included.
You don't need to use these unless you can't get updates, or this is no longer passing WGA.

This is set to automatically log you in each time you start up. If you want to be prompted for a username and password please see the "TJ" folder on the disc. It contains a registry patch that you can run to have it prompt for username and password again.
This folder on the disc also contains numerous other little tweak applications, registry patches, WGA Cracks & More.

Please look at it before asking questions.
In the "TJ" folder on the disc, in the folder called "Registry", you will see another folder called "Save_Icon_Layout". Whenever I install new graphics drivers my icons on my desktop get out of place. This little DLL and Reg Patch will help with saving/restoring your Desktop Icon Layout.
To Install It: Extract the "LAYOUT.DLL" filder to "Drive:Windowssystem32" folder. Then double click the Reg Patch to apply it.
Now it should show up as an option when you right click on your My Computer Icon.

I have removed the original Net Framework that ships with XP. It's super old and outdated.
You can still download and use a newer version however. Just download the latest version from Microsoft.com or Windows Update.

I have disabled and deleted the Classic Windows XP Install Screens with the info about XP and the blue Background.
You will just see a black background now and the install will look similar to 2000. This saves Space and gives more info while installing.

The Minimum HD and RAM Requirements have been lifted. You can try and install this on whatever machine you like now. High ISO Compression has been enabled to save space.

Install Notes:
1. Unrar the Archive(s) using WinRAR or 7Zip. This will produce an ISO file.
2. Burn the ISO using a program such as IMGBurn, Nero, Alcohol 120, Blindwrite, ect... (Burn at a slow Speed to ensure no errors, 1x-4x)
3. Change Bios Priority settings so it boots from the CD-ROM Drive First. (You may be able to skip this step)
4. Insert Disc and Reboot PC, Follow the on screen prompts and enjoy.

Notes:
If you are getting errors while copying files. It's your CD, not the release. Try burning it to different brand of cd/media and try burning at the slowest speed possible.
I just tested this in VMWare and it works flawless. You should get between 16-19 Processes and under 100mb of ram usage when using the computer initially. Everything you install/use will obviously increase this, however its the leanest XP Copy around.

Street Fighter IV is the newest version of the fight game that has earned a legion of fans during the golden age of arcades of the houses.

How to install Crysis Wars (online):

1- Get the PROCYON release if you don't already have it.

2- Grab the v1.4 full patch (348.2 MB) Mycrisis - FilePlanet - GamersHell

3- Install game using any random numbers/letters for cd-key, Install the full v1.4 patch. No further crack/fix needed to play! Update your Punkbuster with pbsetup.exe.

4- Open the game and go to Multiplayer --> internet [Its going to ask you for a CD key - put whatever you want in there] In the top right corner, click 'Create an Account' and create an online account. Exit game. How to configure with QTracker: Crysis Wars isn't supported in the public version of Qtracker. You will need to configure Qtracker to support cracked serverlists:
1- Open Qtracker.

2- Add Crysis to Qtracker: Left click on "View" --> select "Settings" --> "Games" --> "Installed" --> select Crysis. [but don't configure the exe/directory locations yet] Click Apply, then OK.

To add a single server: Right click on the "cracked servers" folder you created --> select "New" --> "Server", enter the server IP to add it to your list.

2- Right click the "cracked server" folder for your game --> select "Import servers into this folder" and browse to the private server .txt file that you downloaded. Click open. Press F5 to refresh the list and wait a moment.

Crysis Warhead doesn't have multiplayer? Crysis Wars = Crysis Warhead multiplayer. Punkbuster keeps kicking me from servers. Update punkbuster with the pbsetup.exe in the CW download section.

Make sure you set your computer to boot from USB Flash Drive

To Enter the BIOS press the "Del" button on your keyboard. Alternatives are "F1", "F2", "Insert", and "F10". Some PC's BIOS might even require a different key to be pressed. Commonly a PC will show a message like "Press [Del] to enter Setup" to indicate that you need to press the "Del" key. Some AMI BIOS require you to enable the option "USB Keyboard Legacy support"!

For AMI BIOS:

Go to "Feature Setup". "Enable" these options: "USB Function Support",
"USB Function For DOS" and "ThumbDrive for DOS". Go to "Advanced Setup".
Set the "1st Boot Device" to "USB RMD-FDD".
Reboot the PC and it now should boot from the Usb Stick.
Go to "USB Mass Storage Device Configuration". Select "Emulation Type"
and set it to "Harddisk". Go to the "Boot Menu" and set the "1st boot device" to "USB-Stick". Exit the BIOS, saving the changes.
you can try "Emulation Type" to "Floppy" or "Forced FDD".

For PHOENIX/AWARD BIOS:

Go to "Advanced BIOS Features". Go to the "1st Boot device" and set it to "USB-ZIP".

If you get GRLDR error then use Syslinux to boot grub4dos

VB is also considered a relatively easy to learn and use programming language, because of its graphical development features and BASIC heritage.^[1]

Visual Basic was derived from BASIC and enables the rapid application development (RAD) of graphical user interface (GUI) applications, access to databases using Data Access Objects, Remote Data Objects, or ActiveX Data Objects, and creation of ActiveX controls and objects. Scripting languages such as VBA and VBScript are syntactically similar to Visual Basic, but perform differently.^[2]

A programmer can put together an application using the components provided with Visual Basic itself. Programs written in Visual Basic can also use the Windows API, but doing so requires external function declarations.

The final release was version 6 in 1998. Microsoft's extended support ended in March 2008 and the designated successor was Visual Basic .NET (now known simply as Visual Basic).

2.Navigate to HKEY_CURRENT_USER --------> Software --->yahoo ----->pager---->Test

3.On the right page , right-click and choose new Dword value .

4.Rename it as Plural.

5.Double click and assign a decimal value of 1.

Now close registry and restart yahoo messenger and try Multiple Login
